*Purchase must be greater than $300 from qualifying merchants. Installment payment available for three (3), six (6), nine (9) or twelve (12) month terms, split evenly over term, depending on qualifications. Interest rate will be provided via the NYMCU Mobile App and will be contingent on qualifying purchase. MCU reserves the right to apply payments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Account must be open and in good standing to earn and redeem rewards and benefits.

How To Enable Alerts
  1. Check your card eligibility.
  2. Create an account to register your mobile device and email. You will need to create a new, unique Username and Password for this service. This will create a new account with VISA® Purchase Alerts. OR, you can sign up for VISA® Purchase Alerts using NYMCU Digital Banking.
  3. Choose the notification triggers that match your needs, such as transactions exceeding a set amount.
  4. If you experience problems creating a new account, contact VISA® Purchase Alerts Customer Service at VisaPurchaseAlertsHelp@visa.com.

What happens if I lose my MCU VISA® credit card?

Accidents happen! If your MCU VISA® credit card is lost or stolen, we suggest that you connect with us right away. Call us at (800) 449-7728 or log into your NYMCU Digital Banking to block or unblock your card, or to request a replacement.

Can I be alerted when a purchase is being made?

Yes! With VISA® Purchase Alerts, you will automatically be sent a text or email that verifies the purchase—stopping fraudulent activity in its tracks.

Do I need to have established credit in order to get an MCU VISA® credit card?

A small amount of established credit will not prevent you from getting an MCU VISA® credit card, but high-standing and established credit will strengthen your application.

** APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Introductory APR for new cardholders on new purchases and balance transfer is 1.99% for the first 12 months that your account is open. After the introductory period expires, currently 16.15% based on your creditworthiness–this post-introductory APR may vary. Balance transfers from another MCU loan or MCU VISA Card are not permitted. The APR for Cash Advances for all VISA cards is a fixed 17.90%. Cash Advance Fee for the MCU² VISA Card is 3% of the amount advanced but not less than $2.00 or more than $30.00.
